Is stress inherently bad for us? The very latest scientific research behind stress, demonstrates a number of techniques designed to decrease common stress factors. Can stress in small doses, actually be quite good for us? This has certainly piqued our interest. We have taken the opportunity to also consider how stress affects us by looking at how our bodies respond to stress, where we can learn from this and turn it into an advantage.
Our feelings and ultimately our mood come in response to what we see, smell, hear, feel, taste, think or have experienced in the past. Rebecca Louise Kelly shares how using essential oils can help shift our mood by accessing the limbic area of our brain where our emotions and behaviours are stored.

Indiana’s i Revolution programmes are highly transformative and catalytic essentially taking someone from their current reality of what they are experiencing in the body and every area of their life, stripping that reality into components to understand the stories, choices and paths that have brought them to where they are now, connecting the dots and reflecting back to them how they are wearing those stories and the ways in which they have impacted their current reality thus far. With that new awareness and clarity, the next stage will be to then help facilitate the new story to be written first with the power of word (intentions) then physically and dynamically through their bodies. As a male working in the holistic world of therapy, transformation coaching and healing, the mental health of men is something that is close to my heart.
In this blog, I’ll touch on the raw facts of male mental health. I’ll explain what can be done to encourage men to speak up or seek support, and how we can help here at Haelan Therapy. If you think this blog might be useful to someone in your life, please feel free to forward it on to them.
Mental Health is on the tip of everyone's tongue at the moment and so it should be. Thanks to key figures such as Princes Harry and William and other celebrities in the public eye, Mental Health is being taken seriously. Finally. Our mental health is just as important as our physical health, in fact it is our belief here at Haelan that our mental and emotional states are directly linked to our physical states. Get on top of your mental health and then physically you will be winning.

I first heard about Biomagnetic Neuropsychology about 18 months ago when my colleague Faye Coulson, here at Haelan Therapy first started practising it. I was intrigued by the name alone, when I looked into what it really was, I knew that I could really benefit from this treatment. I then learned that NEURO could help with anxiety, depression, fear and all kinds of other things such as calming the mind of someone who has autism, or help someone with Parkinson’s to have more control of their movement. I decided that I wanted to go for it.

Taking that step to honour yourself and receive healing on any level can feel incredibly scary; you know you want help but you just don’t know where to go. Haelan founder, Rebecca Louise Kelly sat down with Bekki Russell a long-standing and regular client to discuss her journey with Haelan, and how attending regular reflexology and coaching sessions has enabled her to heal on both a physical and mental level “Since coming to Haelan I believe the time that I have spent with you has enabled me to reduce my stress and anxiety and make some serious life decisions such as embracing my hobby of crocheting and turning it into a business. But more importantly it has also helped my physical wellbeing too. I am pleased to say that 2.5 years since my MRI results showed that I had a severe heart abnormality, my recent scan has shown that my heart has almost normal function”. Read her story here…

We have seen new guidelines, issued by Public Health England, in the press recently recommending we eat 400kcal for breakfast, 600kcal for lunch and 600kcal for dinner in order to relieve the burden on the NHS. But is this the right approach to improving our health?

Do you get stuck sometimes and have no idea which way to turn? At the end of last year an amazing opportunity came my way; to write a chapter in a book all about Energy Healing! This was entirely new to me, but very exciting and very scary in equal measures. However, every time I sat down to write I was completely blocked. I couldn’t access any of my wisdom. Read my blog about how I overcame my barriers and my advice to you...
One of the questions that comes up most often in meditation class here at Haelan Therapy, when healing or when my colleagues are coaching our clients, is around being present and still. To be exact, I am often asked “what does it mean to truly be in the present moment?”.
In this blog, I will explain what this is and how it can be achieved at any moment, no matter where you are and what you are doing at any time.
Friendships can help improve our self-confidence, self-worth and also help reduce stress! The connection with ourselves and a knowledge of what makes us who we are is the foundation to enable a greater connection and friendship with others. By recognising who we truly are in terms of our values and beliefs and what may limit us in our lives, we give ourselves the choice to make a change within ourselves which will outwardly strengthen the bond and friendship with others.
When we experience any form of pain or suffering, we understandably can find it very hard to overcome. Many of us feel that the only way to get through this, is to wait. And whilst time can heal, there are other ways in which you can heal yourself and overcome suffering or pain, regardless of what form it is.
Here at Haelan we totally disagree in creating labels as when you label something, it becomes so. We have taken the opportunity to look Blue Monday in the face and blow a raspberry at it by creating our Haelan Blue Monday Survival Toolkit!
